Mitch Lowe Lands at Quarterly Co.19 Jun, 2013 By: Chris Tribbey
Former Netflix and Redbox executive Mitch Lowe has been hired as the CEO of Quarterly Co., an online subscription gifting service.
“At heart I have always been an entrepreneur, and after many years of navigating the corporate world, I am thrilled to have finally found my way back to the start-up scene,” Lowe said in a statement. “In this digital age we live in, where we can buy, stream or download practically anything online, Quarterly Co. stands out for its connection back to the physical world.
“This is a company made up of people and stories and things, not just bits and bytes, and I look forward to bringing Quarterly’s services to a wider audience."
Quarterly Co. offers subscribers personally curated gifts every three months from a selection of contributing celebrities, including authors, musicians and artists.
Lowe previously served as a founding executive with Netflix and as COO and president of Redbox.
“We could not have found someone more capable and well suited to lead Quarterly than Mitch,” said Quarterly founder Zach Frechette. “His track record as a creative marketer and industry innovator will prove invaluable in helping us continue to attract prominent contributors and dedicated subscribers, and I am excited for what lies ahead at Quarterly.”
