Movie Gallery CFO Departs

Movie Gallery Aug. 29 said former CFO Thomas Johnson has left the No. 2 DVD rental company effective immediately.

Johnson, who joined Dothan, Ala.-based Gallery in 2004 prior to its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, relinquished his CFO duties last month after Lucinda “Cindy” Baier was named to the position.

Johnson, who earned a base salary of $325,000 in 2007, had served as an EVP since that time.
