July 7 Warner passed the 200 mark for available titles on its Warner Archive Collection manufacturing on demand DVD service, adding 11 films, including Brian DePalma’s Get to Know Your Rabbit and Green Mansions with Audrey Hepburn.
Another 13 films will be available July 21, including six rare Al Jolson films, edging Warner closer to its stated goal of 300 films on the service by the end of the year. Warner said that the 1930 Mammy is not included, since it will be part of a Warner Archive Collection release later this year.
Warner will also packaged together six films staring Ann Sheridan and Ida Lupino for Warner Archive, dubbed the “Women of Warner Bros.” collection. While single-DVD or download orders for Warner Archive titles cost $19.95, the “Women” collection will have a price tag of $59.95.
