1973. This John Milius-directed salvo is one of the better examples of the gangster genre, though it helps that some of the supporting casting means more now than it did at the time.
Extras: Stephen Prince’s all-business commentary is diligently researched in terms of juxtaposing real facts with the movie’s fictions.
