Oscar Winner 'La La Land' Coming to Home Video in April

Lionsgate will release the acclaimed musical La La Land on Digital HD April 11 and on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray combo pack April 25.

The film has earned about $150 million at the domestic box office and won six Academy Awards, including Best Actress for Emma Stone, Best Director for Damien Chazelle, as well as a record seven Golden Globes.

Stone plays Mia, an aspiring actress, while Ryan Gosling stars as Sebastian, a jazz musician, in a story about the struggles of making it in the entertainment industry.

The La La Land DVD features song selection, audio commentary with Chazelle and Oscar-winning composer composer Justin Hurwitz, plus the featurettes “La La Land’s Love Letter to Los Angeles,” “Another Day of Sun: They Closed Down a Freeway,” and “Ryan and Emma: Third Time’s the Charm.”

The Blu-ray includes these extras plus “Damien & Justin Sing: The Demos,” and several additional featurettes: “La La Land’s Great Party,” “Ryan Gosling: Piano Student,” “Before Whiplash: Damien Chazelle’s Passion Project,” “The Music of La La Land,” “John Legend’s Acting Debut,” “The Look of Love: Designing La La Land” and “Epilogue: The Romance of the Dream.”

The 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray of La La Land will feature a Dolby Atmos soundtrack remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead.
