Lionsgate Preps Award-winning Films on Blu-ray

In time for Oscar season, Lionsgate will release three award-winning films on Blu-ray, as well as a boxed set of past Oscar winners.
Jan. 31 (prebook Jan. 4) sees the Blu-ray debuts of Shakespeare in Love ($14.99), The English Patient ($19.99) and Cold Mountain ($14.99), as well as the release of Best Picture Collection, featuring best picture winners Shakespeare in Love, The English Patient, Chicago, No Country for Old Men and Crash, in DVD ($38.98) and Blu-ray Disc ($59.99) boxed sets.
Shakespeare in Love comes with a making-of featurette, another about the costuming, two commentaries and deleted scenes. The English Patient comes with two commentaries, deleted scenes, interviews and several featurettes. Cold Mountain has a commentary, deleted scenes, a featurette about the music, two making-of featurettes and more.
The special features for Shakespeare in Love and The English Patient also carry over to the Best Picture boxed sets. The five films in the set have a combined 19 additional Academy Award wins, in addition to their best picture wins, and a total of 22 other nominations.
