‘Twilight Saga: New Moon’ Dawns on DVD, Blu-ray

The second edition of the vampire-movie saga that set millions of hearts aflutter will hit DVD and Blu-ray Disc March 20 (order date Jan. 19) when Summit Home Entertainment releases The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

The two-disc special edition DVD ($32.99) and Blu-ray ($34.99) include a commentary with director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert; a six-part behind-the-scenes documentary; music rehearsal footage from rock band Muse; and music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mutemath.

The film, starring Kristen Stewart as human Bella Swan in love with vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and friends with werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), made more than $292 million at the U.S. box office. The first film in the series, Twilight, was a home-video phenomenon, topping DVD sales for 2009.

As with Twilight, New Moon is being released on a Saturday to encourage midnight-release parties.
