Millennium Media Services has inked a distribution deal with Level 33 Entertainment, Millennium CEO Bill Lee announced July 13.
“This partnership represents our company’s commitment to expansion, and our strong presence in the digital space, enabling us to continue to offer clients the most efficient and economical answer to their distribution needs,” Lee said.
Level 33’s EVP of acquisitions Sheldon Brigman added, “… Our partnership with Millennium Media Services … allows us to offer world-class distribution to filmmakers and still maintain our boutique approach.”
Under the agreement, Millennium will manage rental accounts such as Redbox, retail accounts like Target and Best Buy, subscription video-on-demand accounts such as Netflix, and digital accounts such as iTunes and Hulu, on select titles. The content aggregation and distribution service also will focus exclusively on digital distribution for certain titles.
The first full channel releases that Millennium will distribute for Level 33 are action crime-thriller The Last Lullaby, due Sept. 13; family friendly documentary 3D Safari: Africa, arriving Sept. 20; and comedy Dance Fu, streeting Oct. 4.
Additionally, Millennium will digitally distribute surf documentary Accidental Icon: The Real Gidget Story and film-festival favorite Punching the Clown.
