Universal Starts Production on ‘Honey 2’

The direct-to-DVD follow of the 2003 Jessica Alba dance film Honey has begun production in Los Angeles and is slated for a fall 2011 release, according to Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Honey 2 is directed by Bille Woodruff (Beauty Shop) and stars Katerina Graham (“The Vampire Diaries”) as a hot young dancer who has to choose between training a group of undisciplined dancers for a competition or returning to the hard life of the streets.
Executive producer of the film is Marc Platt, who also produced Wanted and the first Honey film. Co-starring are Randy Wayne (Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning), Brittany Perry Russell (“CSI: NY”), Seychelle Gabriel (The Last Airbender), Christopher “War” Martinez (Bring It On: Fight to the Finish) and Tyler Nelson (Stomp the Yard 2).
