The Hulu Plus application has been updated for Samsung connected HDTVs, some Blu-ray Disc players and the Roku set-top with better search features, simplified controls, larger artwork and more.

The Nintendo Wii console will get the updated application as well.

“Users can now enjoy their favorite shows and summer entertainment, including Hulu original and exclusive shows, through the new Hulu Plus experience on their favorite living room devices,” Dave Herman, senior product manager for Hulu, wrote in a blog post. “In the fall of last year, we rolled out the new Hulu Plus living room experience, and the feedback from users has been extremely positive. We’re pleased to update the experience across millions of Samsung and Roku devices today, and on Wii soon.”

The update include a new tray-style format allowing users to scroll through TV shows and movies, top clips, trailers and a new “Shows You Watch” feature. The upgrade also includes a new Hulu Kids section.

“The redesigned Hulu Plus interface makes it even easier to find your favorite TV shows and movies quickly,” Tom Markworth, director of product management at Roku, wrote in a blog post. “You’ll notice the new tray-style format, streamlined grid screens and big, beautiful artwork for the thousands of available series, movies, clips and trailers.”
