GameStop: Apple Trade-ins ‘Exceeded’ Expectations

Video game retailer GameStop has seen better-than-expected trade-in traffic for iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad products, the company reported.

Consumers can get up to $180 for iPod Touches, up to $300 for an iPhone and up to $400 for an iPad, which are then sold refurbished by GameStop.

“The velocity of this trade program has exceeded our expectations,” said GameStop president Tony Bartel. “We expect to see strong post-holiday traffic as customers trade in older models that were replaced by gifts.”
