‘X-Men: First Class’ Arrives on Disc Sept. 9

Fans who preorder at Comic-Con can get a free T-shirt
The prequel X-Men: First Class is coming to DVD and Blu-ray Friday, Sept. 9 (order date Aug. 10), from 20th Century Fox.
The film chronicles the formation of the X-Men by Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and his eventual rival, Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender), better known as Magneto. The film grossed $143.6 million domestically and $344.5 million worldwide.
The first 1,000 fans to preorder the DVD or Blu-ray during San Diego Comic-Con International July 21-24 will receive a free limited-edition T-shirt showing their support for either “Team Charles” or “Team Erik.” Preorders can be made in person at the Fox booth (#4313) or at for the special show price of $18 for the DVD and $25 for the Blu-ray.
In addition fans can choose between Professor X and Magneto Blu-ray covers.
The Blu-ray gives fans exclusive access to more than two hours of special interactive extras plus 10 Marvel “X-Men” digital comics, including a never-before-seen X-Men: First Class backstory. Other extras include “Cerebro Mutant Tracker,” a database with video profiles of the mutants of the “X-Men” film franchise; “Children of the Atom,” an eight-part making-of featurette; “X Marks the Spot,” an interactive feature allowing viewers the opportunity to learn more about specific scenes with talent interviews and behind-the-scenes footage; extended and deleted scenes; an isolated music track; and a BD-Live portal with additional “Tracker” profiles. The Blu-ray also includes a digital copy.
