The truth is out there — on Blu-ray.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release The X-Files: The Event Series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc June 14. The six-episode 10th season series from creator/executive producer Chris Carter aired Jan. 24 to Feb. 22, and featured original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully 14 years after the conclusion of the original series in 2002.
Fox is also re-releasing The X-Files: The Collector’s Set, featuring all 10 seasons on Blu-ray. The set was originally released in December with an empty slot for fans to add the Blu-ray of the 10th season when it was released. The set includes more than 25 hours of bonus features such as documentaries and commentary by Carter and the production team — as well as special effects sequences, deleted scenes and an in-depth look behind the scenes of The Event Series.
The X-Files: The Event Series special features include deleted and extended Scenes; a gag reel; "The Makings of a Struggle"; "Season X: An In-Depth Behind-the-Scenes Look at The Event Series"; "Monsters of the Week: A Recap from the Wildest and Scariest from the Original Series"; “The X-Files” — Green Production PSA; the short film Grace by Karen Nielsen; commentary on “Founder’s Mutation” with Chris Carter and James Wong; commentary on “Mulder & Scully Meet the Were-Monster” with David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Kumail Nanjiani and Darin Morgan; and commentary on “My Struggle II” with Chris Carter and Gabe Rotter.
"The X-Files" series (except for season 10) is also available to stream on Hulu Plus, which is co-owned by Fox.
