‘Speak’ Competes to Be Heard

Tumbleweed Entertainment Sept. 18 (order date Aug. 21) will debut the inspirational documentary Speak on DVD ($29.99) for everyone to hear.

Speak addresses the hurdles of public speaking and documents the lives of six individuals as they make their way to the Toastmasters International Speech Contest for the title of “World Champion of Public Speaking.”

The film features Chris Matthews, Caite Upton and some of the most celebrated public speakers.

Bonus materials include interviews with former Toastmaster and “Hardball” host Matthews, Ann Hastings, Toastmaster and former board member for Toastmasters international, past Toastmasters World Champions and communication professors.

Filmmakers Paul Galichia and Brian Weidling also include in the extras 20 additional minutes of extra footage and the speeches from two of the finalists.
