PBS to Debut ‘Champions’ on Broadcast, Disc, Digital July 9

PBS will release the documentary Age of Champions on disc and digital the same day it broadcasts July 9.

The film follows five competitors aged up to 100 years old who compete at the National Senior Olympics. The release coincides with the 2013 Senior Olympics, held in Cleveland from July 19 to Aug. 1.

The film will be available on DVD via Amazon, Shop PBS and major retailers, and a digital release will be available on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Video, among others.

“The characters in Age of Champions show us that nothing is impossible,” said director Christopher Rufo. “Whatever your age, it’s never too late to pursue your dreams and achieve something great.”
