comScore: Google Remains Dominant in Video Views
15 Jul, 2011 By: Chris TribbeyGoogle-owned sites, led by YouTube, continued to dominate the online video world in June, accounting for 149.3 million unique U.S. Internet users, according to a report by online tracking firm comScore.
Vevo (63 million) and Yahoo (52.7 million) sites came in second and third, respectively.
In total 178 million Americans watched online video during the month, averaging 16.8 hours of viewing time. The 6.2 billion viewing sessions was an all-time high, comScore reported.
Americans also viewed 5.3 billion video ads during the month, with Hulu No. 1, generating 1 billion ad impressions.
