Bill Sondheim, president of Cinedigm Entertainment, will co-chair the 2017 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles from July 17-19.

Sondheim will serve alongside co-chairs Mark Fisher, president and CEO of the Entertainment Merchants Association, and Mark Horak, founder of LAES.

LAES, now in its sixth year, is a forum for movie and TV distributors, video game publishers, retailers, distributors and other ancillary companies and service providers to engage in business conversations, information sharing, relationship building and socializing. The summit again benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

“Bill Sondheim is a true industry leader, one who is admired and looked up to by his colleagues,” Fisher said in a statement. “He understands the importance of LAES as a forum for the industry to come together and do business, and we look forward to having him help guide this year’s event.”

The summit will also include the “knowledge exchange” and the new “marketplace,” which provide industry insights and home entertainment product demonstrations. And as always, LAES will feature a golf tournament, opening night cocktail reception and Tuesday night industry celebration — this year at NeueHouse Hollywood located in the landmarked 1938 CBS Radio Building on Sunset Blvd.

Last year, more than 1,000 industry leaders from over 100 companies participated in the event, and many of them have already committed to participate in the 2017 summit.
