Adobe, Turner Partner for TV Everywhere
24 Sep, 2013 By: Chris TribbeyTurner Broadcasting System (TBS) has adopted Adobe’s Primetime TV Everywhere platform for its TNT and TBS apps, with plans to expand the partnership to TV Everywhere apps for Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, truTV, NBA League Pass and more.
Turner will use Adobe Primetime’s player and ad insertion technology for the channels for apps for both Apple and Android devices, giving subscribers to those channels single sign-on capability to view Turner content across devices.
“Turner is one of the largest and most innovative content providers in the world and we are thrilled to expand our partnership to help bring the breadth of their premium TV channels to consumers across all major platforms,” said Jeremy Helfand, VP of Adobe Video Solutions. “We are at the beginning of an exciting industry transformation and are working with the TV industry to provide viewers with the experience they want, and content owners and distributors with the ability to build a business around true TV Everywhere.”

Other Adobe Primetime customers include Disney, Viacom, Fox, NBC Universal, Scripps and A&E.
Adobe also announced that it has improved its video analytics for Adobe Primetime, giving content companies that use the product more data on how consumers engage with content and advertising.
“Adobe Primetime has seen rapid adoption by the TV industry since its introduction less than five months ago,” Helfand said. “With more than 29 billion video streams delivered by Adobe customers in Q3 alone, advancements in video measurement and content protection are crucial for these media companies to deliver amazing TV experiences online.”
