‘Scarface’ Bonus to Air in Theaters

More than 475 theaters nationwide will host a screening of the 1983 crime drama Scarface on Aug. 31, in advance of the Sept. 6 Blu-ray Disc release from Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Attendees at the one-night screenings will be treated to the debut of a 20-minute featurette appearing on the Blu-ray, as well as the restored picture and upgraded audio. Tickets are available at .
“Almost 30 years after its initial release, Scarface remains iconic and stirs passionate responses from audiences around the world,” said Dan Diamond, VP of NCM Fathom, which is producing the event with Universal. “Now, fans can experience Scarface like never before in theaters with spectacularly updated visual and sound quality, and never-before-seen elements in an historic, one-night event.”
Universal also will street a limited-edition Blu-ray, including SteelBook packaging, 10 art cards, a digital copy of the film and a DVD of the original 1932 Scarface.
