Gaiam Partners with Millennium to Distribute Content to Best Buy

19 May, 2011 By: Angelique Flores

Gaiam Inc. has inked a deal with Millennium Media Services to distribute its content to Best Buy.

Millenium will distribute such Gaiam titles as Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners, Travel Channel’s “Man v. Food,” TLC’s “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” ABC Family’s “Make It or Break It,” and Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week: Restless Fury” and Emmy-nominated “Man vs. Wild.”

“Millennium’s category management approach to product and state-of-the-art [Vendor Managed Inventory] system guarantees we deliver the right product to the right stores at the right time,” said Gaiam president Bill Sondheim. “In fact, in the first few months with Millennium, we have seen sales placement exceed all of last year’s performance in total.”

Gaiam has been boosting its presence in more retail chains and expanding its existing footprint in retail stores. Last year Gaiam completed a 600-store rollout of fitness media and accessories in Best Buy stores.
