Best Buy Offering Free Samsung Wireless Blu-ray Player

Best Buy Co. through Feb. 5 is including a free wireless Samsung Blu-ray Disc player with the purchase of any Samsung LED/LCD HDTV.

The Super Bowl generates one of the largest domestic television audiences (more than 90 million people) each year and typically acts a catalyst for HDTV sales.

While Blu-ray players are often bundled with home theater systems, 3D-compatable units and large-screen models, this deal includes all Samsung TVs with screen sizes larger than 40 inches.

The Samsung BDC5500XAA carries a $179.99 SRP and includes apps for Netflix streaming (separate subscription required), YouTube videos and Pandora music (subscription required).

Minneapolis-based Best Buy also offers a buy-back program that allows consumers to sell back TVs bought at Best Buy within the past four years and receive up to 50% off the purchase of a new model.
