Roku to Add Search Function to Amazon VOD

Movie streaming set-top box manufacturer Roku Inc. said it would soon incorporate a search function that allowed users to more easily navigate Amazon’s 40,000 video-on-demand digital titles. Tim Twerdahl, VP of consumer products, told U.S. News & World Report Roku would soon unveil 10 new content partners gleaned via distribution of software development kit. Saratoga, Calif.-based Roku broke into the streaming business last year when it unveiled $99 set-top with online DVD rental pioneer Netflix.
