Best Buy's 'Brave' lunchbox

The latest Pixar hit from Disney, Brave, hit shelves Nov. 13 and predictably attracted most of the retail attention for the week, encouraging a variety of promotions.

Target had an exclusive book with the Brave Blu-ray/DVD combo for $19.99. In addition, Target offered a $7.50 savings with the joint purchase of a Brave Blu-ray and a selected Disney Princess doll (Brave’s Merida was listed at $12).

Walmart offered the Brave BD/DVD pack with a plush of Angus the horse.

At Best Buy, the 3D Blu-ray combo pack of Brave was $27.99, but for an additional $2 shoppers could pick up the 3D version with an exclusive lunchbox.

Best Buy also offered $5 off select Brave merchandise with in-store purchase of the movie. Listed items included wall decals and phone pouches.

Sticking with the Pixar theme, Best Buy offered a limited-edition collectible Blu-ray case with preorders of Finding Nemo, due Dec. 4. A $7.50 deposit was required.

Best Buy also has an exclusive unrated version of the new Nitro Circus 3D, $12.99 on DVD and $17.99 on Blu-ray.
