Jaman Networks announced Jan. 12 it has collaborated with gay and lesbian film distributor TLA Releasing to present a channel on the Roku streaming player.
Hundreds of titles from TLA’s catalogue will be available through the channel, which Jaman will service. Viewers may peruse and choose from TLA’s library of internationally acclaimed titles, national theatrical releases and award-winning films, such as The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveros; Raging Sun, Raging Sky and more.
“We’re in the business of empowering content owners to leap onto an array of devices so that their libraries are accessible anytime, anywhere,” said Dan Graham, GM of Jaman Networks. “We’re thrilled to be able to provide our services to TLA in their efforts to increase brand awareness and further their bottom line.”
Roku viewers also will have access to TLA’s gay and lesbian titles, festival favorites from abroad and certain films from TLA’s independent, international horror label, Danger After Dark.
“We are excited to team up with Jaman on this project,” said Eric Moore, TLA Entertainment Group partner and CTO. “I have admired Jaman’s model and commitment to independent cinema since their first days on the Internet. Roku is not only an excellent set-top delivery platform, but by making their SDK public, I think they will gain wide adoption quickly.”
