Maverick Slates ‘Fast and Furious’ Style Adventure ‘Treasure Raiders’

In the wake of Fast and Furious’ monster domestic box-office take ($121.2 million in counting, according to Box Office Mojo), Maverick Entertainment Group has slated race car thriller Treasure Raiders, releasing on DVD June 2 at $24.98.

The film is directed by Brent Huff and stars Alexander Nevsky, who is billed as a “Russian Schwarzenegger.” It also stars Steven Brand (The Scorpion King) and Golden Globe nominees David Carradine (Kill Bill) and Sherilyn Fenn (“Twin Peaks”).

The film’s plot reads a bit like Fast and Furious meets National Treasure, with a Russian street racing star and an American racer as rivals who team to find a lost treasure.
