Nintendo Says 30 Million Wiis Sold in U.S.

First launched in November 2006, Nintendo’s Wii has passed the 30 million mark for sales in the United States, the company said.
“More than any other video game system in history, Wii has expanded the world of video games to new audiences,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's EVP of sales and marketing. “This milestone is another reminder that people want fun games they can play with others — all at a value-minded price.”
The Wii system is available in black or white for $199.99.
