Universal Ups Q1 Home Entertainment Revenue 9%

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment April 27 reported first-quarter (ended March 31) revenue of $299 million, up 8.7% from revenue of $275 million during the previous-year period.

HBO Classic TV Shows Not Leaving Amazon Prime Video

Amazon says tags suggesting select HBO classic television shows would be departing Prime Video May 21 are not true. A representative for the e-commerce behemoth told 'The Verge' the labels were an error and would be removed.

Comcast Added 42,000 Video Subs in Q1

Comcast Cable’s adoption of the cloud-based X1 set-top, and direct access to Netflix and YouTube, helped add 42,000 net subscribers in the first quarter, ended March 31. The linear TV operator ended the period with 21.5 million video subs, compared with 21.4 million during the previous-year period.

RCA Joins Roku TV Licensing Program
