'La La Land' Helps Lionsgate Motion Pictures Unit Post $52 Million Q4 Profit

Strong box office results from Oscar winner 'La La Land' helped Lionsgate’s motion pictures segment post $52 million fourth-quarter (ended March 31) profit, compared with a loss of $1.3 million during the previous-year period. Revenue increased 20.6% to $654 million compared to $542 million last year.

Best Buy Q1 Entertainment Sales Increase 11%

Best Buy May 25 said first-quarter (ended April 29) entertainment revenue increased 11.3%, compared with a 11.6% decline in the previous-year period. Entertainment represented 7% ($554 million) of domestic revenue compared to 6% ($470 million) a year ago.
