Disney Studio Operating Income Falls 64%

The ongoing economic turmoil coupled with downward year-over-year DVD unit sales resulted in The Walt Disney Co. Feb. 3 reporting a 64% drop in first-quarter (ended Dec. 27, 2008) operating income for its studio entertainment division, which includes Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment.
