Lionsgate Ups Q2 Home Entertainment Revenue

The Santa Monica, Calif.-based studio/distributor reported retails sales of motion picture content increased 5.4% to $165.7 million from $157.1 million last year. Television content sales declined $200,000 to $3.2 million.
Through the fiscal half-year, home entertainment movie revenue reached $400 million compared to $100 million last year. TV content retail sales reached $6.5 million compared to $10 million in the previous-year period.
Top-selling packaged media releases include John Wick: Chapter Two, which has sold $26.1 million worth of discs, and Hacksaw Ridge, which has sold $24.9 million in discs. Deepwater Horizon generated $15.4 million in combined DVD/Blu-ray Disc sales, according to .
Streaming services, which include Comic-Con HQ and Tribeca Shortlist, generated revenue of $1.1 million compared to $400,000 last year. Through the fiscal half-year, revenue tops $2.5 million from $600,000.
Results include the former Starz Distribution segment of Starz LLC incorporated following Lionsgate’s purchase of the pay-TV network.
