Sensio 3D VOD Service Launches on Panasonic 3DTVs

8 May, 2014 By: Chris Tribbey

Montreal-based Sensio Technologies’ 3DGO! VOD content service is now available on select 3D-enabled Panasonic Viera HDTVs in the United States, with a planned rollout to more Panasonic 3DTVs next month.

Disney, Paramount, Universal, DreamWorks Animation, Imax and The Weinstein Co. are among the studios offering their 3D content on 3DGO! for rental, $6.99 for new releases and $5.99 for catalog titles.

Panasonic and Sensio will promote the service with advertisements and notifications. The service is also available on some Vizio 3DTVs.

“Marketing efforts are essential to generate awareness of 3DGO!'s availability to Panasonic 3DTV owners and drive new user registration,” said Richard LaBerge, EVP and chief business development officer for Sensio. “We have had an outstanding collaboration with Panasonic throughout the commercialization planning process and we’re looking forward to seeing the results in the coming weeks.

“Lastly, we are impressed at how smooth the entire development process has been. This shows that our platform has now reached maturity and that we are ready for future launches.”

Sensio first launched 3DGO! during the 2013 International Consumer Electronics Show, calling it the first and only dedicated 3D transactional VOD service offering the latest 3D films for streaming.
