'Prometheus' Features Seven-Plus Hours of Bonuses

When 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment releases Prometheus on Oct. 9, consumers who choose the four-disc 3D Blu-ray collector’s edition or two-disc Blu-ray combo pack will get a full seven hours of bonus features.

Those releases are available with premium packaging and will feature alternate openings and endings, commentary by directors and writers, a Prometheus Weyland Corp. Archive second-screen app, a “Peter Weyland’s Files” series of bonuses, as well as “The Furious Gods: Making Prometheus,” “Enhancement Pods,” a bonus covering pre-visualization of the film and screen tests.

The four-disc set also includes a 3D theatrical cut on Blu-ray and a DVD with a digital copy.

The “Alien”-themed film from Ridley Scott pulled in nearly $400 million at the worldwide box office.
