Warner Bros. has tapped Brad Collar as its new SVP and GM of Global Digital Media eXchange, or GDMX, the supply chain operations and content distribution company owned by the studio.
Previously Collar served as VP of technology for Warner Bros. Technical Operations. From 2002 to 2007, he served as director of digital distribution technology at Warner Bros.
“Brad is a talented technologist with terrific sensibilities around the commercial aspects of our business. He brings enormous talent and energy to GDMX which continues to redefine its products and services to meet the needs of media and entertainment clients worldwide,” said Darcy Antonellis, president of Warner Bros. Technical Operations. “Under Brad’s leadership, with Alex Rudinger leading distribution and Bob Doyle leading encoding operations, we are excited that together they’ll make an outstanding team.”
From 1992 to 2002 Collar worked at GDMX, then known as California Video Center, where he supervised the compression and authoring of more than 1,000 DVD titles.
