The studio is offering titles via Flixster.com, its UltraViolet registration website and movie recommendation resource
Warner Bros. Digital Distribution is giving away free access to select UltraViolet studio titles at Comic-Con through July 15 — the end of the annual four-day consumer fan show in San Diego.
UltraViolet is the industry-backed cloud-based movie storage platform for physical and digital movies that can be accessed on compatible consumer electronics devices, including the television.
Warner is conducting the promotion through Flixster.com, the studio’s online movie recommendation site and official UltraViolet registration link.
Starting July 12, attendees receive complimentary movies by tweeting unique hashtags found at the DC Entertainment booth, and at the “Batcave,” which is located near the “Extra at Comic-Con” stage at Bayfront Park. New hashtags will be unveiled every day for titles such as Mortal Kombat, Green Lantern and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, among others.
To get a complimentary movie, users must have or create a Flixster account and an UltraViolet account.
Flixster is also screening a separate classic title each night of the show for free at the “Extra at Comic-Con” stage in Bayfront Park. Titles include The Goonies (July 12), in support of the 25th Anniversary Blu-ray Disc release of the film; horror classic Friday the 13th (July 13); and Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice (July 14). Screenings begin at 8:30 p.m. PDT.
