Horror Blockbuster 'It' on Digital HD Dec. 19, Disc Jan. 9

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release the hit horror film It on Digital HD Dec. 19, followed Jan. 9 by a release on Blu-ray, DVD and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray.

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, the film earned $326.7 million at the domestic box office to become the highest-grossing horror film of all time.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray version will feature Dolby Vision HDR and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.

The It Blu-ray and two-DVD special edition include deleted scenes and the featurettes “Pennywise Lives!,” about actor Bill Skarsgård; “The Losers’ Club,” about the young stars of the film; and “Author of Fear,” in which King discusses creating the book.

The extras can also be experienced on tablets and mobile phones using the Warner Bros. Movies All Access App, available for both iOS and Android devices. The app lets users who own the digital version of the film (either redeemed through physical copy or purchased from an UltraViolet retailer) to watch the movie and simultaneously experience synchronized content related to any scene simply by rotating their device.

Warner has also released the virtual reality experience It: Escape From Pennywise, available on Samsung Gear VR and Google Daydream for 99 cents.
