Verizon FiOS Debuts Bundle Offer, Service in Pittsburgh

22 Sep, 2009 By: Billy Gil

Verizon is offering a $150 Visa prepaid card with certain bundles of its FiOS broadband and video-on-demand service.

The promotion, which began Sept. 21 and continues through Dec. 31, also includes a two-year price guarantee and free premium installation for select double- and triple-play services. Triple-play customers who order qualifying services, from mid-tier to top-tier bundles, will receive either HBO and Cinemax or an international language package of channels free for three months. Existing customers who add a qualifying FiOS TV or Internet service are eligible for the prepaid card and two-year guarantee, and those who sign up online get an additional $5 a month off their monthly fee for a year.

“With more HD, tons of video-on-demand, advanced interactive features and superior DVR technology — plus America’s top-rated broadband service — FiOS is the smart choice over cable,” said John Wimsatt, SVP of marketing for Verizon Telecom.

Additionally, FiOS TV service is now available in Pittsburgh. The service offers more than 600 channels, including more than 120 in high-definition, which amounts to more HD channels than offered by the city’s cable provider, Comcast, according to Verizon.
