NeuLion and Insight TV Form Ultra HD Partnership

NeuLion, a technology product and service provider specializing in broadcasting, distribution and monetization of live and on-demand digital video content, Dec. 22 announced a partnership with Insight TV to launch an OTT Ultra HD entertainment platform.

Insight TV original programming includes documentaries, reality series and infotainment, as well as interactive new formats.

With market demand for digital entertainment growing, third-party distributors such as Vubiquity, Zoo Digital, BAM Tech and NeuLion continues to seek content license agreements.

NeuLion next year will distribute the English Football League. The Plainview, N.Y.-based company last year acquired London-based Saffron Digital in part to establish a European foothold.

Its digital platform is also used by Sky Sports, Eleven Sports Networks, NBA, UFC, Euro league, French supermarket chain Carrefour and Tribeca, among others, to distribute live and on-demand digital video across all formats, including 4K.

The new HD format is delivered by the NeuLion Digital Platform at 50/60 frames per second to Internet connected 4K HDR devices coupled with NeuLion's 4K streaming CE SDK.

"We are constantly pushing the envelope with new technology, new features and new services. Together with Insight, which is doing the same thing in their field, this is another example of how we are delivering a best-in-class digital experience,” CEO Roy Reichbach said in a statement.

Launch of the new Insight service is expected in the coming months.
