Cox Communications, Comcast, Charter Communications and Time Warner Cable are giving their cable customers a free On Demand sneak preview of “Crash,” from Starz Entertainment, starting Oct. 1.
The show comes from the producers of 2006 Academy Award winner Crash and is co-produced by Lionsgate. The first episode of the series about social and racial issues in Los Angeles, starring Dennis Hopper, will premiere Oct. 17 on the Starz channel.
The episode will be available on demand through Cox Digital Cable, Comcast’s On Demand service and Fancast, Charter On Demand and Time Warner Cable’s Los Angeles system, on the Starz On Demand channel. High-definition and standard-definition versions of future episodes will debut day-and-date with their TV premieres.
Separately, two bonus episodes of Starz original stand-up comedy series “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up” will be available Sept. 19 through Oct. 23 exclusively on Starz On Demand. Stand-up talent featured in the episodes includes Bruce Bruce, Meshelle, Gary Owen, Joey Wells, the Berry Boys, Eddie Bryant, Deon Cole, Lavell Crawford, Shang and Jamie Teat.
