Sony DADC Partnering With Video Game Company

20 Aug, 2017 By: Erik Gruenwedel

Sony Digital Audio Disc Corp. has inked a partnership with DreamGear LLC, a North American provider of video game accessories and consumer electronics for the audio and mobile industry, to grow the latter’s retail business in Europe.

Sony DADC’s consumer sales business unit will combine DreamGear’s existing distribution and warehousing capabilities with its own services, bringing brands to retail via a proprietary direct-to-retail sales team, as well as direct to consumers.

“We believe there is an enormous opportunity to engage with partner brands and deliver a unique service, which will help with every facet of sales from launch through end fulfillment,” Chris Spearing, VP of Sony DADC’s consumer sales, said in a statement.

DreamGear eyes expanding product lines in Europe, including products launched under its "bionic," "My Arcade," "ISound" and DreamGear brands, according to founder Yahya Ahdout.

Ahdout said launching multiple brands with a diverse range of products across Europe and other key regions requires a dedicated team with the “passion and vision” necessary to make an impact at retail.

“We believe that Sony DADC has the experience and drive required to best represent our line of innovative and exciting products, and we look forward to working with the group to organically grow our global market share throughout 2017 and beyond,” Ahdout said.
