New Gaming Title Features D-BOX4 Dec, 2009 By: Chris Tribbey
Codemasters’ DiRT2 video game is the latest to carry the D-BOX Motion Code, the seat-motion technology recently debuting in theaters and featured on numerous DVD and Blu-ray Discs.
The racing game is available for the X-box 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Need For Speed, SHIFT and Race On are other recent gaming titles to carry the code, which relays specific movements to a unique seat.
“2009 has been a year of tremendous growth for D-BOX Technologies,” said president and CEO Claude McMaster. “We have more than doubled the number of video games compatible with D-BOX Motion Code, starting with 10 to more than 20 titles today.
“We anticipate great success with this latest game, given the popularity of Codemasters' ‘DiRT’ series among the gaming community and look forward to integrating our technology on future games.”
D-BOX recently announced licensing agreements with gaming software companies EA and Simblin.
