GameFly Names 'Fallout 3' Game of the Year

Online video game rental service GameFly Feb. 17 named Fallout 3 its game of the year. The action role-playing game also won game of the year for Xbox 360, in GameFly’s sixth annual Q Awards.

“2008 was one of the most successful years in the gaming industry with many noteworthy titles,” said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and SVP of business development.
“Through the Q Awards, the GameFly community recognized the top games from a diverse group of publishers.”

For the PlayStation 3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots took home top honors, while Super Smash Bros. Brawl was No. 1 for the Nintendo Wii. The top PlayStation 2 game was Kingdom Hearts: Re-Chain of Memories, the top PlayStation Portable game was God of War: Chains of Olympus, and Final Fantasy IV won for Nintendo DS.
