Zed to Offer Mobile Apps With Universal Movie Content

1 Apr, 2009 By: Erika Carmona

Zed, a leading mobile content company, has partnered with Universal Pictures Digital Platform Group to develop mobile content including memorable moments and classic quotes from a variety of Universal films.

The partnership will create new revenue streams for the studio through voicetones, ringbacks and wallpapers from movie titles such as Role Models, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Dazed and Confused, The Fast and the Furious, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Animal House.

“Consumer interest and awareness about personalizing phones is at an all-time high,” said Brian Casazza, regional director for Zed. “We expect unique content, such as classic movie lines, to be especially popular as people are willing to get more creative.”

Universal Pictures content is available through all U.S. carriers and through Zed’s direct-to-consumer offerings, which include RingToneJukeBox.com and applications such as RealTone JukeBox and Wallpaper JukeBox.
