Racing Game Offers 'Fast & Furious' Expansion

26 Feb, 2015 By: John Latchem

Universal Pictures’ licensing arm has partnered with Xbox for a video game tie-in to the “Fast & Furious” franchise.

Starting March 27, users of Xbox One and Xbox 360 can download Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, a standalone expansion of the Forza Horizon 2 racing game that launched this past September.

The expansion puts players behind the wheel of iconic vehicles from the “Fast & Furious” film series, including new cars appearing in Universal’s upcoming Furious 7, which arrives in theaters April 3.

In Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious, players are transported to the south of France to participate in a series of car challenges inspired by both the “Fast & Furious” films and previous “Forza” games. Completing challenges unlocks new cars that can be driven throughout the open world in free roam play. Players can also take photos of their favorite cars in the game and share them via social media.

Players do not need to have purchased or played Forza Horizon 2 in order to download or play the expansion, which will be offered for free through April 10, and will cost $10 afterward.
