‘Simpsons’ 12th Season Heads to DVD

The 12th season of “The Simpsons” is coming to DVD Aug. 18 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

The four-DVD set will come in “Comic Book Guy” packaging at $49.98, and includes all 21 episodes from the 2000-01 season, plus episode commentaries, deleted scenes and featurettes.

While the release brings “The Simpsons” into a tie with “South Park” as one of the shows with the most seasons available on DVD, the franchise still has a ways to go before it catches up to its broadcast run. “The Simpsons” begins its 21st season this fall.
