Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II

Warner Home Video will offer an additional 15 minutes of sketches with its DVD of the second “Star Wars”-themed episode of Adult Swim’s “Robot Chicken.”

Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II streets July 21 (prebook June 16) at $19.97, and will include both the 22-minute broadcast version that aired last fall, and an extended 38-minute version with never-before-seen animation.

“Robot Chicken,” created by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, uses stop-motion animation to spoof various aspects of popular culture, and has twice devoted episodes to parodies of George Lucas’ space saga. The special “Star Wars” episode won three Annie Awards, including best animated television production and best writing.

Guest voices for the second installment include “Star Wars” cast members Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams and Ahmed Best. The latter won an Annie for his voice work in the episode.

The DVD includes 93 minutes of extras, including deleted scenes, “Chicken Nugget” commentaries and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
