7 Jan, 2014 By: John Latchem

The National Geographic telefilm Killing Kennedy will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD Feb. 11 (order date Jan. 15) from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Based on the bestselling book by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, the movie tells the parallel stories of U.S. president John F. Kennedy (Rob Lowe) and his assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald (Will Rothhaar) leading up to the fateful events in Dallas, Texas, on Nov. 22, 1963. The movie also stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Jackie Kennedy and Michelle Trachtenberg as Oswald’s wife, Marina. Lowe was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance.

The home video edition includes an extended feature, behind-the-scenes featurettes, an interview with O’Reilly and a “Kennedy Mystique” featurette.

Killing Kennedy is the second of a trilogy by O’Reilly and Dugard focusing on the deaths of historic figures. Their first book, Killing Lincoln, was made into a NatGeo movie in 2012, and the recent Killing Jesus is slated for an adaptation later this year.
