Christmas Classics Go Blu

Classic Media is upgrading some of its holiday classics with new DVD and Blu-ray releases Oct. 12.
The three-disc Original Christmas Classis Limited Keepsake Edition Blu-ray boxed set ($44.99) includes the Rankin/Bass animated specials Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964), Frosty the Snowman (1969) and Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town (1970). The Frosty the Snowman disc also includes its 1992 follow-up Frosty Returns (1992).
“Every year, families look forward to watching these iconic holiday specials together,” said Robert Mayo, SVP and GM, U.S. Home Entertainment, Classic Media. “Now, on Blu-ray, the quality of these time-honored classics is better than ever before.”
In addition, Rudolph, Santa and Frosty are being released individually on DVD with new packaging at $14.98 each.
Classic Media videos are distributed by Vivendi Entertainment.
