Questar Expands Digital Division20 Aug, 2012 By: Chris Tribbey
Questar Entertainment is increasing its digital efforts, expanding its catalog of digital offerings to more than 750 programs for iTunes, Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and major cable and satellite networks.
More than 80 Rudy Maxa travel titles, including 83 25-minute programs, highlight the expansion.
“The future of media distribution is digital, and the future is now,” said Ken Campo, SVP of digital for Questar. “Marketing is changing, and consumers want their content to be instant and accessible. By further investing in digital, we're making all these great programs from top producers around the world available to new audiences. Questar is committed to expanding the reach of our content, and this move is just another demonstration of that commitment.”
Jay Nader, SVP of program development and new technologies for Questar, added: “In addition to providing our content to consumers wherever and whenever they want it, this move also keeps Questar competitive by signaling to producers that we are going to maximize the reach of the content they provide us. Leading special interest filmmakers have always trusted Questar to provide the largest audience possible for their programming. This will continue to be true even as the digital audience grows.”
