SnagFilms Offers Exclusive Films21 Apr, 2014 By: Chris Tribbey
Starting this month, SnagFilms will be the exclusive home to one new film each week through the end of the year, a first for the free ad-supported video-viewing platform.
Overall, SnagFilms will be the exclusive home to 40 indie films and documentaries. The 2011 drama Kinyarwanda (about the Rwandan genocide), the 2012 documentary Let Fury Have the Hour (looking at 1980s counterculture) and the 2010 documentary Rabbit Fever (following competitors at the National American Rabbit Convention) are available now.
“We are proud to bring these unique films to digital audiences for their first free screenings,” said SnagFilms CEO Rick Allen. “Unique stories — some true and others, fables — run the gamut from reggae to rabbits, from high schoolers’ coming-of-age to long-lost war veterans coming home. And that’s just in the next few weeks. We will blow your mind and save your wallet every week for the rest of 2014.”
Scheduled for release during the next few weeks: the documentaries Remember Where You Are (April 28), Magic Camp (May 5) and RasTa: A Soul’s Journey (May 12), three Memorial Day-themed films May 19 (The Carrier, Until They Are Home and Return from Tarawa) and the 2010 dark comedy Spilt Milk (May 27).
