Popcornflix Bows New Android App

Popcornflix, the ad-supported streaming movie app, June 18 released its Android app, which is compatible with smartphone, tablets and optimized for Android 4.0 and higher operating systems.

The free app is currently available for download in the United States and will be available in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France and Scandinavia next month.

Popcornflix offers more than 700 full-length feature films and independent titles in a variety of genres, including action/thriller, comedy, family/kids, drama, horror, Bollywood and documentaries.

Popcornflix, is supported by pre-rolls, mid-rolls and banner ads that offer content and advertising partners access to a valuable and growing viewing audience. All content is delivered on an intuitive interface that gives viewers free access to video content across multiple screens.

“Android is key to our expansion in the mobile space,” said Gary Delfiner, president of digital distribution for Screen Media Ventures, which owns Popcornflix. “This release is a milestone for Popcornflix as we exponentially grow our audience base.”
